Start date: ASAP
Position: CEO for ~$40m Equity Holding Company (Rollup)
Compensation: Slightly depends on candidate profile, but our starting base case is ~$300k - $350k/year in cash + significant equity upside. (We’re selecting for folks who view this trade as an entrepreneurial / fun / big-title-and-growth opportunity vs. a brand name opportunity, which we’re not yet.)
Location: Remote pre-close and very likely on-site post-close (ultimately TBD)
Commitment: Full-time
Duration: Initial commitment of 5 years (forever if a good fit)
Activities: The role combines deploying approximately $40 million of equity through acquisitions with leading the operations of acquired assets. We are looking for an executional rock star. The role is highly hands-on and operational—messy, unglamorous, and deeply involved in the daily minutiae of small-business optimization—rather than traditional allocator or investment professional work (e.g., modeling and deal analysis). Traditional financial activities will represent a small minority of the CEO’s time. Success requires rolling up your sleeves, operating with limited resources and imperfect information, and personally solving problems that would be delegated in a larger organization. Said simply, if your goal is to be Warren Buffett, this role is not for you.
Role Trade-offs
(+) You will be an early team member at a high-growth holding company.
(+) You will work with and learn from a highly successful PE team with a top investing track record.
(+) You will have a big title and significant autonomy and responsibility.
(+) You will have a lot of fun in a scrappy, entrepreneurial environment.
(=) You will be doing a lot of non-financial, hands-on, highly people-based work (not thinking big financial or strategic thoughts).
(-) If joining a large, established company with a big brand is appealing to you or you enjoy structured environments, then this opportunity is not a fit.

Tucker’s Farm Background
Firm Name: Tucker’s Farm Corporation
Firm Website: www.tuckersfarm.com
Firm Description: We are a low-profile, value-oriented holding vehicle modeled after Berkshire Hathaway that aims to acquire ~$150 million of businesses every year (~$75 million equity).
The founders/investment team is composed of value investors from Apollo Global Management (~$60bn private equity group) and Viking Global Investors (~$30bn hedge fund). We have various subsidiaries or ‘platforms’ (also known as rollups, aggregations, or buy-and-builds).
Each platform is capitalized with a long-term equity base (from our own capital and select partners like insurance companies, endowment managers, etc.) and has the sole mandate of compounding cash flows for the long term, primarily through M&A. We have a broad mandate and look for opportunities across industries, geographies, and the capital structure, although our primary focus is on rollups. We are mostly investing out of our recently raised $100m+ holding vehicle.
