Advertising/Posting Title CERL Research Lab Assistant Posting Summary
Provide operational support for research studies conducted within the Child Emotion Regulation Lab (CERL) and other co-investigators working on affiliated externally funded projects in the Department of Psychiatry. Interact with children and families in-person and virtually, working with vulnerable populations and families, obtaining subject informed consent/assent, collecting psychosocial and biofeedback data, assisting with biofeedback sessions, performing neurocognitive and psychological tests and designing and administering surveys. Coordinate sample collection and analysis. Utilize REDCap, LCOM data management services, and a variety of other database management platforms for testing and data management. Assist with study scheduling and setup, maintain files and records, use discretion regarding sensitive information, and maintain confidentiality within the framework of the University guidelines. Ensure that study subjects are compensated and assist the CERL staff with ongoing study coordination procedures.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Bachelor's degree in psychology or closely related discipline and one to three years' related research experience required. Ability to provide own transportation for occasional travel required.
Desirable Qualifications
Prior research experience with clinical populations and/or families with children/young adults. Previous experience collecting data and performing study visits virtually preferred.
