QUALIFICATIONS
  • HS diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 8+ years of welding or related experience or demonstrated ability to perform the described responsibilities.
  • Able to become certified to AWS D17.1.2001.
  • Able to read and understand product and process drawings, procedures, weld symbols, and quality requirements.
  • Must demonstrate manual dexterity.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Properly set up and operate manual and automatic welding systems per work instructions and good welding practices.
  • Positions and adjusts fixtures, attachments, or workpiece on machine, using visual acuity, hand tools, and measuring devices.
  • Adjusts, within procedural limits, to fine-tune the process to achieve conformance standards.
  • Read and understand product and process drawings, procedures, weld symbols, and quality requirements.
  • Performs proper pre-weld cleaning and handling of parts.
  • Inspects hardware to ensure specifications are met by visual inspection and measuring devices.
  • Maintains a high level of performance while following appropriate procedures and observing all pertinent safety rules and requirements.
  • Maintains work area and equipment in an organized, clean, and FOD-free manner.
  • Obtain and maintain all required qualifications and certifications in all appropriate metals.
  • Ability to perform set-up and troubleshooting of weld equipment.

Shift: 

  • 1st (7 am – 3 pm) M- F
  • 2nd  (3 pm – 11 pm) M- F
  • 3rd (11 pm – 7 am) must train on 2nd shift (Monday–Friday, 3 PM–11 PM) for the first few weeks. (Sunday to Thursday)

Note: Must have 8 years of welding experience
