Certified Asbestos Consultant (CAC) / Asbestos Site Surveillance Technician (CSST)
Northern California | Field-Based Environmental Consulting

B2 Environmental, a UES company, is seeking an experienced Certified Asbestos Consultant (CAC) or Asbestos Site Surveillance Technician (CSST) to support environmental assessment, compliance, and monitoring projects throughout Northern California.
This opportunity is ideal for an experienced asbestos professional who enjoys field work, problem-solving, and working independently while supporting a wide range of commercial, industrial, public sector, and redevelopment projects.
This is a remote, field-based position with regional travel throughout Northern California.

As a key member of our environmental team, you will help clients navigate asbestos-related compliance requirements while supporting environmental investigation and monitoring activities.

We're looking for a self-motivated environmental professional who is comfortable working independently in the field and delivering high-quality technical work.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent required, post-secondary education is considered an asset. Excellent written (Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio (CAD equivalent)) and verbal communication skills Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to write technical documents and field reports. Excellent observational, organizational, and time-management skills. Completion of an accredited asbestos training program Valid asbestos handling certification Basic knowledge of safety regulations and protocols Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record. Ability to travel for field assignments and work in remote outdoor environments.
CERTIFICATIONS
DSHS Licensed Asbestos Building Inspector (required) or state specific agency DSHS Licensed Asbestos Air-Monitoring Technician with NIOSH 582 Equivalency License (strongly preferred) or state specific agency DSHS Licensed Asbestos Project Manager, Management Planner, and/or Project Designer (preferred) or state specific agency DLR - Mold Assessment Technician or Consultant License (preferred) or state specific agency ELRR Lead-Based Paint Inspector (preferred) or state specific agency NRPP Radon Measurement Professional Certification (preferred) or state specific agency OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER (preferred)
Travel Requirements
This position requires moderate travel, approximately up to 40% of the time, in support of business objectives and client engagements. Travel may be both scheduled and on short notice, depending on project needs. Destinations typically include job sites, field locations, or regional offices, where work may be conducted in outdoor or operational environments. Adherence to all company safety protocols and use of PPE is required during travel and on-site work.
