JOB SUMMARY

  • Treatment of athletes of all ages, ability and sports. Prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of physical injuries as well as addressing emotional and mental aspects of injuries.
  • Skilled in treatment of sprains, strains, contusions, abrasions, lacerations, dislocations, various chronic injuries, and fractures.
  • Measure, examine, analyze and/or provide instruction to determine or evaluate the components of physical fitness to healthy and/or (ill health) diseased individuals.
  • To assist in improving the components of physical fitness and promoting the prevention of disease and disability. Establish communications with athletic director, school employees, coaches, parents and medical professionals.
  • Assists with the development and organization of individual and group rehabilitation programs.
  • The Athletic Trainer is responsible for coordinating all on-site sports medicine coverage, taping, pre-season and post season physical screenings, injury clinics, athletic training room management and budgeting of training supplies.
  • Responsible for being knowledgeable of standard of practice for the practice of Athletic Training in a school and outpatient rehabilitation setting and regulations established by the payers.
  • Demonstrates critical thinking to assure the delivery of safe, quality care to adolescents, and adult clients.
  • Responsible for excelling in courteous and respectful customer service at all times to every customer.
  • Assures the safety of all customers.
  • Effectively communicates with all customers.
  • Effectively communicates & collaborates with other healthcare team members and between intra/inter departments, adheres to organizational policy and procedures, abides by regulatory/accrediting body requirements and professional practice standards.
  • Assists with the daily operations and collecting statistics within affiliate strength and conditioning program.
  • Responsible for completing in a timely manner, all assigned tasks and duties utilizing multi-tasking skills. Responsible for assuring confidentiality of customer information and departmental information.

Requirements Include

  • Graduate of accredited program for Athletic Trainers, Bachelors of Athletic Training or equivalent degree required.
  • Certified Athletic Trainer required
  • Ability to work variable hours.
  • Current CPR certificate required
