Seeking a Certified Construction Materials Special Inspector for full-time, field-based work in Hayden, Idaho or Spokane Valley, Washington.
Compensation ranges from $26.00 to $35.00 per hour, depending on certifications and experience.
Responsibilities include performing inspections and materials testing (aggregates, asphalt, densities), monitoring construction activities for compliance, preparing electronic reports, and operating testing equipment. Travel within the region is required.
Required certifications: Aggregate, Asphalt I, Embankment & Base, In-Place Density. Preferred certifications include ACI Field Testing Technician Grade I, Nuclear Gauge Safety, and ICC certifications in Reinforced Concrete, Structural Steel, Welding, and Fireproofing.
Qualifications include a professional attitude, strong time management, comfort with mobile reporting, valid driver’s license, ability to lift/maneuver weights, and willingness to travel.
