Seeking a Certified Construction Materials Special Inspector in Hayden, ID or Spokane Valley, WA for a full-time role. Compensation ranges from $26.00 to $35.00 per hour based on experience and certifications.
Responsibilities include performing field inspections and materials testing per WAQTC procedures, monitoring construction activities for compliance, testing aggregates, asphalt, and in-place densities, and preparing electronic reports. The role involves operating and maintaining testing equipment, communicating with stakeholders, and regional travel.
Required certifications include Aggregate, Asphalt I, Embankment & Base, and In-Place Density. Preferred certifications are ACI Field Testing Technician Grade I or higher, Nuclear Gauge Safety, and various ICC credentials.
Qualifications include a professional attitude, strong time management and attention to detail, proficiency with mobile reporting tools, a valid driver’s license, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and willingness to travel.
