Responsibilities include performing field inspections and materials testing (aggregates, asphalt, in-place densities), ensuring compliance with project specifications and standards, preparing electronic reports, operating testing equipment, and traveling regionally to support inspections.
Required certifications are Aggregate, Asphalt I, Embankment & Base, and In-Place Density; preferred certifications include ACI Field Testing Technician Grade I or higher, Nuclear Gauge Safety Training, and various ICC certifications.
Qualifications include a professional attitude, strong time management, proficiency with mobile reporting tools, a valid driver’s license, ability to lift and maneuver weights, and willingness to travel.
