Certified CVOR Surgical Technologist

A regional referral center in Savannah, GA is seeking a Certified CVOR Surgical Technologist to join its cardiovascular operating room team. The hospital is a 600+ bed acute care facility and home to the region's only Level I trauma center and children's hospital, serving 35 counties across southeast Georgia and southern South Carolina.

The role. Working under the direct supervision of the circulating OR RN, the CVOR Surgical Technologist assists the operating surgeon throughout cardiovascular procedures. Core responsibilities include setting up and managing instruments, equipment, and supplies for surgical cases; preparing the room between patients; and cleaning and preparing instruments for terminal sterilization. The technologist also assists with patient positioning and transport, and performs counts with the circulator prior to the operation and before incision closure.

What we're looking for.

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Surgical Technology
• Experience in OR required
• One to two years of CVOR experience is required
• Must hold current certification in Surgical Technology
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) is required
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

Schedule. Full-time position with day shifts on 10- or 12-hour rotations (starting 6:30 AM), rotating weekends, and on-call requirements dependent on schedule.

Compensation. $28.00 - $38.00/hr plus $15,000 sign-on bonus
