What you will do:
- Enforce and maintain sanitation and infection control in kitchen
- Delegate team members and help with meal preparation, services, and dining experience
- Purchase food, nutritional supplements, and cleaning supplies for the kitchen while staying within budget
- Evaluate and provide plans for improvement regarding any aspect in dietary system (staffing, protocol, purchasing, etc)
- Oversees all kitchen staff
- Participate in corporate dietary meetings to plan the new seasonal menu
Must have:
- Current unencumbered license to practice as a Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) in the state of Washington
- Ability to taste and smell food in order to determine quality and palatability
- Able to relate positively, effectively and appropriately with residents, families, community members, volunteers and other center staff
- Posses special interest in and a positive attitude about working with long term care residents and the elderly population
- Able to read, write, speak and understand English
- Meets health requirements as required by law
- Demonstrates basic computer knowledge and ability with an aptitude to learn company applications
