This Role
We are seeking a collaborative and detail-oriented Certified Dietary Manager to join our Culinary Services team and make a meaningful impact on the daily dining and nutrition experience of our residents. In this role, you will serve as an important link between residents, families, nursing, culinary services, licensed care leadership, and the Registered Dietitian to help ensure dietary needs, preferences, compliance expectations, and service standards are met. Responsibilities
  • Conduct nutritional assessments and screenings for residents.
  • Serve as the primary Culinary Services representative for Interdisciplinary Team meetings, QAPI meetings, resident councils, and care conferences across all licensed care areas.
  • Maintain and update nutrition-related care plan information for residents.
  • Partner with contracted Registered Dietitian to prepare for resident reviews, identify nutrition risk concerns, support care planning, and coordinate follow-through on nutrition recommendations.
  • Provide training, coaching and process support to Culinary Services supervisors and team related to therapeutic diets, resident preferences, allergies, supplements, snack accuracy and regulatory expectations.
  • Uphold food and physical safety standards compliant with HACCP and all regulatory requirements for food service establishments.
Who You Are
  • Associate’s degree from an accredited school, preferred.
  • Currently holding or in the process of obtaining a Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) credential, Required.
  • 2-3 years of experience in the field, with at least 2 years in hands-on management preferred.
  • Proven ability to educate and instruct teams effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for meetings with residents and families.
  • ServSafe Certification, required within 6 months of hire.
  • Able to adapt in an interrupted environment.
