About the Opportunity

Cetechs is hiring four Full-Time Certified Echocardiograph Technicians to support the South Texas Veterans Health Care System. This position provides comprehensive cardiac ultrasound services for our nation's Veterans at multiple VA medical facilities throughout the San Antonio region.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality adult transthoracic echocardiograms
• Perform M-Mode, 2D, Color Flow, Pulse Wave and Continuous Wave Doppler studies
• Perform contrast and bubble studies
• Assist physicians with Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE)
• Perform stress echocardiography (exercise and pharmacologic)
• Produce diagnostic-quality ultrasound images
• Document procedures within the VA electronic medical record (CPRS)
• Monitor patients for abnormalities or distress during procedures
• Maintain ultrasound equipment and quality standards
• Participate in quality improvement and mandatory VA training

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent echocardiography experience
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS)
• Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Technology/Sonography program
• Current BLS (required prior to clinical work; ACLS preferred)
• Ability to obtain and maintain VA credentialing and background investigation
• Excellent communication and patient care skills

Schedule

• Full-Time
• Monday–Saturday
• Typical hours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Schedule may vary based on VA operational needs

Work Location

Primary assignment at Audie L. Murphy VA Hospital with occasional assignments at affiliated VA outpatient clinics throughout the San Antonio area.

• Stress Echo experience
• TEE experience
• Bubble study experience
• Contrast imaging experience
• Previous VA or hospital experience
• CPRS experience
