Job Responsibilities
Duties
Lead energetic group fitness classes across multiple formats such as Aqua Aerobics, Aqua Deep Water, Total Body Conditioning, Chair Fitness, Balance, Tai Chi, Yoga, Pilates, Zumba and dance-based workouts to participants of all skill levels. (Just to name a few!)
Design innovative class programs that incorporate principles of physiology, body mechanics, anatomy, and exercise science to ensure safe and effective workouts
Demonstrate proper technique and form during exercises to prevent injuries and maximize results
Foster an inclusive atmosphere that encourages participation, camaraderie, and personal achievement
Promote personal training and group fitness programs through engaging instruction and excellent customer service
Maintain equipment safety standards by inspecting gear before each class and ensuring cleanliness after sessions
Stay current with industry trends by pursuing ongoing education in fitness training, program design, and new exercise modalities

Qualifications
Certification as a Group Fitness Instructor from a recognized organization (e.g., ACE, NASM, AFAA) or equivalent qualification. Aquatic Certification for pool classes.
CPR/AED Certification
General Liability Insurance
Proven experience leading group fitness classes in diverse formats
Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, body mechanics, and exercise science principles
Ability to develop engaging class plans that incorporate program design techniques for various fitness levels for participants aged 55 plus.
Excellent teaching skills with the ability to motivate and inspire all participants
Familiarity with gym equipment and safety protocols for group settings
Passion for health and wellness with a commitment to promoting a positive fitness experience
