POSITION SUMMARY
The Certified HVAC Technician works under the guidance and direction of the Facility Manager or designee of the Echo Cliffs Health Center. The incumbent is to install, test, inspect, and repair any refrigeration air handling and air conditioning equipment which includes providing Electrical maintenance, planning, safety, and oversight of critical emergency electrical systems and operations. Troubleshoot heating-cooling system malfunctions with users to isolate problems or to verify that malfunctions have been corrected. Record and report all faults, deficiencies, and other unusual occurrences, as well as the time and materials expended on work orders. Perform preventive general maintenance procedures such as cleaning, power-washing and vacuuming equipment, oiling parts, and changing filters and ensure indoor climate and air quality control systems operate safely and efficiently. Scheduled work hours are (24 hour coverage) rotational, day or night shifts, weekends, holidays and occasional overtime. Will also be scheduled for on-call plant coverage (begins Monday evening at 6pm and ends on Monday morning of the following week at 6am).
