Job Summary: The Certified HVAC Technician is responsible for installation, maintenance, calibrations, overhaul, service and repair for HVAC systems in the facility.
Essential Job Functions & Accountabilities:
- Reads blueprints, interprets Manufacturers' specifications, written and verbal instructions for the maintenance and repair of air conditioning systems.
- Maintains an awareness of the sensitive and critical uses for the HVAC system being worked on.
- Performs preventive maintenance on air-conditioning and ventilation systems to maintain air at a specified temperature and humidity. Work orders are completed promptly and accurately.
- Responsible for troubleshooting, inspecting, calibrating, adjusting, lubricating and repairing or replacing components as necessary.
- Maintains records to ensure compliance with local, state, federal and accrediting organization regulations and standards.
- Supports and maintains a culture of safety and quality.
- Maintains equipment inventory, submit requisitions, and communicate with vendors and contractors as required.
- Operates and maintains facility HVAC systems and equipment, to include but not limited to: AHU's, fan coil units, split systems, humidifiers, exhaust fans, VAV boxes, DX units, Liebert units, and all associated equipment and controls.
