    Job Description – Certified Teacher
    The Goddard School is an education and curriculum-based facility where the focus is on academic growth as well as social-emotional, physical, and cognitive development. 
    A Certified Teacher at The Goddard School is responsible for establishing and maintaining a safe, healthy, and nurturing learning environment. Certified Teachers are responsible for creating appropriate and engaging lesson plans, as well as assessing progress and development of the children in the classroom. Certified Teachers must be able to effectively communicate with parents and families and work together in conjunction with the entire faculty.
    Certified Teachers also mentor and support Assistant Teachers, helping guide classroom practices and professional development. They are ultimately accountable for what occurs in the classroom they are assigned to or covering, ensuring that school standards, safety procedures, and educational goals are consistently upheld.
    Full-time employees are eligible for paid time off and all employees are eligible for annual reviews, wage increases, promotional opportunities and other benefits.
    Educational Qualifications
    ·        MA StrongStart EEC Essentials 2.0 (this is a free course and is required)
    ·        High school or equivalent (Preferred)
    ·        You must have a Teaching Certificate from the Dept. of Early Education and Care or equivalent qualifications. 
    Responsibilities
    ·        Communicating appropriately and professionally with parents, colleagues, children, and administrators
    ·        Providing positive guidance to children by supporting social and emotional development
    ·        Establishing positive and productive relationships with families
    ·        Ensuring a well-run program by collaborating in developing lesson plans and building teamwork
    ·        Understanding and implementing Goddard’s Health & Safety procedures
    ·        Understanding and following Goddard School of Framingham Policies
    ·        Planning lessons and conducting educational activities
    ·        Arriving each day, on time, with a positive outlook, professional conduct, and  a warm and friendly disposition.
    ·        Assisting with a wide range of tasks as needed to ensure the success and smooth operation of school's daily activities.
    Requirements:
    ·        MA Strong Start EEC Essentials 2.0
    ·        Written and verbal communication skills
    ·        Must meet the state requirements for certification in the Infant, Toddler, or Preschool age-group
    ·        Meet the state qualifications and those set forth in the national hiring standards
    ·        Ability to commute/relocate to Framingham, MA 01702
    ·        CPR / FA Certification (preferred)

    Schedule: Center Hours of Operation are Monday to Friday 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM  
    Compensation: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour
