Qualifications and Experience:
- State-issued Special Education Teacher license required
- Certification for teaching Elementary School (Grades K-5)
- Prior experience working with students with special needs preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills
- Ability to tailor instruction and adapt curriculum to each student's unique needs
- Familiarity with developing and implementing IEPs (Individualized Education Programs)
- Collaborative approach to working with general educators, families, and support staff
Key Responsibilities:- Provide direct instruction to students identified for special education services
- Develop, review, and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Track student progress, maintain records, and report on outcomes
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and other support personnel to deliver cohesive instruction
- Adjust teaching methods and materials based on student assessment results
- Participate in IEP meetings, staff meetings, and professional development
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and concerns
