Job Title: Certified Lifeguard

Location: Kirtland Air Force Base, Albuquerque, NM
Schedule: Monday Friday, during the following operating sessions:

• 5:30 a.m. 8:30 a.m.

• 10:30 a.m. 1:30 p.m.

• 3:30 p.m. 6:30 p.m.

GD Resources is seeking dependable, certified Lifeguards to provide aquatic safety services at the Kirtland Aquatic Center. Lifeguards will monitor swimmers, enforce facility rules, respond to emergencies, and assist with daily pool operations.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Maintain continuous surveillance of swimmers.

• Perform water rescues and provide first aid, CPR, and AED response when necessary.

• Enforce pool safety rules and manage patron sign-in.

• Conduct and document safety-equipment and water-quality checks.

• Assist with pool vacuuming and keeping pool decks, swimming areas, and locker rooms clean and orderly.

• Participate in required training and emergency-response drills.

Required Qualifications:

• Current nationally recognized Lifeguard/Water Rescue certification.

• Current CPR for the Professional Rescuer certification.

• Current AED and Standard First Aid certifications.

• Ability to swim 300 yards continuously.

• Ability to tread water for two minutes.

• Ability to retrieve a 10-pound brick from at least seven feet of water and exit the pool within 1 minute and 40 seconds.

• Ability to obtain and maintain access to Kirtland Air Force Base.

Candidates must be reliable, attentive, professional, and capable of responding immediately to aquatic emergencies.
