BG Staffing is seeking a skilled and dependable Certified Maintenance Technician to support a multifamily apartment community in Shawnee, KS 66203. This is an excellent opportunity for a maintenance professional with strong technical skills who takes pride in providing quality repairs and outstanding customer service to residents.

Position Details

• Role: Certified Maintenance Technician
• Location: Shawnee, KS 66203
• Pay: $24.00/hour
• Schedule: 4–5 days per week (must include Friday), Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM with a 1-hour lunch
• Opportunity Type: Contract-to-Hire

Responsibilities

• Complete resident work orders efficiently and professionally
• Perform skilled maintenance tasks, including:
  • HVAC troubleshooting and repair (EPA certification required)
  • Electrical repairs
  • Plumbing repairs
  • Appliance diagnostics and repair
  • Carpentry and general maintenance
• Assist with unit turns and make-ready preparation
• Maintain community grounds, common areas, and amenities
• Respond to resident service requests with professionalism and excellent customer service
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with company standards

Requirements

• EPA or HVAC Certification required
• Previous apartment maintenance experience strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, and general maintenance
• Ability to troubleshoot and complete repairs independently
• Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
• Strong communication and customer service skills
