Ampla Health is seeking a reliable and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our care team. The CMA supports providers and patients by providing clinical and administrative assistance, maintaining efficient patient flow, and delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities
Room patients, obtain and document vital signs, height, and weight in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
Assist providers with patient care, including medications, injections, immunizations, and standing orders as directed.
Collect and process laboratory specimens according to established procedures.
Assist with referrals, prescription refills, patient callbacks, and care plan updates.
Enter and maintain accurate patient information, orders, and documentation in the EHR.
Prepare, clean, stock, and maintain exam rooms and medical equipment.
Follow infection control, safety, and clinical policies and procedures.
Provide patient education as directed by the provider.
Participate in staff meetings, training, and Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) activities.
Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and respectful communication with patients, coworkers, and the community.
May be required to work at other Ampla Health locations as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or GED.
Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program.
Current Medical Assistant certification required.
Current CPR certification required.
Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient health information.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
