Certified Medical Assistant

Location: Plumsteadville, PA 18949

Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Medical Assistant (MA/CMA) This is a temp-to-permanent opportunity supporting a busy primary care practice. The ideal candidate will have strong patient care skills, excellent communication, and prior outpatient clinical experience. Experience with EPIC EMR is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Room and prepare patients for provider visits.
  • Obtain and document vital signs, medical history, and chief complaints.
  • Assist providers with examinations and minor procedures.
  • Schedule and coordinate patient appointments.
  • Answer and triage patient phone calls.
  • Accurately document patient information in the EMR.
  • Maintain exam rooms and ensure proper stocking of medical supplies.
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients and families.
  • Perform other clinical and administrative duties as assigned.

Schedule

  • Monday through Friday
  • One late shift each week: 11:45 AM 8:15 PM
  • Remaining shifts:
    • 7:45 AM 4:15 PM, or
    • 8:00 AM 4:45 PM
  • Work schedules are released 2 weeks in advance.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Medical Assistant certification preferred (CMA/CCMA/RMA).
  • Previous experience in a primary care or outpatient clinic preferred.
  • EPIC EMR experience is highly preferred.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Employment Details

  • Assignment Type: Temp-to-Perm
  • Interview: Microsoft Teams
  • Training: EPIC training (5 hours) and HIPAA training during onboarding.

Compliance Requirements

  • Must be able to complete all onboarding requirements promptly.
  • Medicals and drug screening must begin within 72 hours of accepting the assignment.
  • Compliance must be completed by the Wednesday before the start date.
