As a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), you will play a vital role in coordinating clinical care and assisting providers to ensure safe, high-quality, and cost-effective healthcare for patients across all stages of life. What We're Looking For:
Education: High School Diploma or GED, required.
Candidates will provide proof of current certification from one of the approved certifying registries including: • CMA with the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) • CCMA with the National Health Career Association (NHA) • RMA with the American Medical Technologists (AMT) • American Registry of Medical Assistants (NHCWA) • National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) • National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP) • American Allied Health (AAH) RMA with the American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA). If a candidate is not currently certified, they must obtain certification or registration by the end of the sixth month of their hire and sign an education agreement, required.
Experience: Previous work in a medical office, preferred.
Licensure/Certification: Current certification, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire as CMA, RMA or CCMA, required. Current State Drivers License (Palliative Care Only), required.
Additional skills required: Ability to successfully complete generic and department specific skills validation and competency testing.
What You'll Do:
Partner with providers to deliver outstanding patient care and support efficient clinic operations.
Prepare patients for examinations by obtaining vital signs, medical histories, and updating electronic medical records.
Perform clinical procedures within scope of practice, including injections, immunizations, medication administration, EKGs, point-of-care testing, and specimen collection.
Coordinate patient flow to ensure timely, efficient visits while maintaining a positive patient experience.
Assist with prescription refills, referrals, prior authorizations, and follow-up care.
