Location: Neptune, New Jersey

Assignment Details

  • Contract Duration: 43 Weeks
  • High Possibility of Extension or Permanent Placement
  • Guaranteed Hours: 40 Hours Weekly
  • Shift Type: Day Shift
  • Schedule: Monday – Friday
  • Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is is seeking an experienced Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support both clinical and administrative operations within a busy Bariatric Surgery outpatient department in Neptune, NJ.

The ideal candidate will have strong outpatient clinical experience, excellent patient communication skills, and the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced ambulatory care environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare exam rooms, supplies, and instruments for patient visits
  • Obtain and document patient vital signs accurately in EMR systems
  • Assist providers during examinations and minor procedures
  • Collect patient history and perform medication reconciliation
  • Perform:
    • EKGs
    • PFTs
    • Audiometry
    • Titmus testing
    • Phlebotomy
    • UDS and BAT collections
  • Process insurance authorizations and support billing/collections activities
  • Schedule appointments, admissions, and medical procedures
  • Maintain accurate patient records and EMR documentation
  • Provide patient education regarding wellness, disease prevention, and follow-up care
  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of clinical equipment
  • Support patient screening activities both in-person and over the phone

Required Qualifications

  • Current CMA or RMA Certification required
  • Current AHA BLS Certification required
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum 1 year of clinical or ambulatory care experience preferred
  • Experience with patient intake, vital signs, and medical documentation required
  • Ability to work effectively in a high-volume outpatient setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills required
