    About the Role

    KLS Workforce Solutions is seeking an adaptable, compassionate, and skilled Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join a high-volume community healthcare facility in Southwest Atlanta. In this role, you will provide critical clinical support to physicians, assist with patient intake, and ensure an efficient, warm patient experience from check-in to check-out.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Room patients, take vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, pulse oximetry), and accurately record medical histories in the EHR system.

    • Prepare exam rooms and sterilize medical instruments according to clinical safety standards.

    • Perform basic clinical tasks including venipuncture (blood draws), EKGs, routine point-of-care lab tests, and immunizations under physician supervision.

    • Assist physicians during minor clinical procedures and patient examinations.

    • Handle administrative duties as needed, including patient callbacks, prescription refills, and lab order follow-ups.

    Key Qualifications

    • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program required.

    • Certification: Active Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) credential (AAMA, AMT, NHA, or equivalent).

    • Certifications: Active Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification.

    • Experience: 1–3 years of clinical experience in an outpatient clinic, urgent care, or primary care environment (outpatient clinical experience preferred).

    • Skills: Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) software (e.g., Epic, eClinicalWorks, or AthenaHealth), strong phlebotomy skills, and excellent interpersonal communication.
