Description
Immediate Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) opportunity at our Corporate Health Center in Joliet, IL.
Note: Bilingual Spanish a plus
Pay Rate: $24.00/hr
Work Schedule:
- Monday and Wednesday 10am - 7pm
- Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 8am - 5pm
- 40 hours per week
Contract Details:
- Start Date: ASAP
- End Date: 11/8 /26 (possible extension)
Responsibilities:
- Assists in examination and treatment of patients
- Assist with certain administrative tasks and provide assistance at the front desk
- Measures vital signs, such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height, and records information as directed.
- Organizes and maintains a filing system for patient charts, including filing and pulling charts.
- Schedules appointments and enters appointment date and time into appointment book and conducts reminder calls to all patients.
- Operates electrocardiograph (EKG) and other equipment to administer routine diagnostic tests
- Performs phlebotomy and prepares specimens for lab pickup.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant with prior primary care, occupational health or emergency/acute care experience a plus.
- Strong phlebotomy skills
- Current hands on training in AHA or ARC Basic Life Support for health care providers is required.
- Knowledge and experience with EPIC - Electronic Medical Records preferred.
- Knowledge of workplace health and safety concepts and OSHA regulations preferred
