Description

Immediate Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) opportunity at our Corporate Health Center in Joliet, IL.

Note: Bilingual Spanish a plus

Pay Rate: $24.00/hr

Work Schedule:

  • Monday and Wednesday 10am - 7pm
  • Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 8am - 5pm
  • 40 hours per week

Contract Details:

  • Start Date: ASAP
  • End Date: 11/8 /26 (possible extension)

Responsibilities:

  • Assists in examination and treatment of patients
  • Assist with certain administrative tasks and provide assistance at the front desk
  • Measures vital signs, such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height, and records information as directed.
  • Organizes and maintains a filing system for patient charts, including filing and pulling charts.
  • Schedules appointments and enters appointment date and time into appointment book and conducts reminder calls to all patients.
  • Operates electrocardiograph (EKG) and other equipment to administer routine diagnostic tests
  • Performs phlebotomy and prepares specimens for lab pickup.

Qualifications

  • Certified Medical Assistant with prior primary care, occupational health or emergency/acute care experience a plus.
  • Strong phlebotomy skills
  • Current hands on training in AHA or ARC Basic Life Support for health care providers is required.
  • Knowledge and experience with EPIC - Electronic Medical Records preferred.
  • Knowledge of workplace health and safety concepts and OSHA regulations preferred
