Position: Certified Medical Assistant
Location: North Brook, IL 60062
Duration: ASAP - 11/01/2026 (possible extension)
Pay: $25/hr.
Setting: Primary care / Occupational health employee clinic
Schedule:
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday: 8 AM - 5 PM
Wednesday: 9 AM - 6 PM
40 hours weekly, No weekends
Key Responsibilities
Provide clinical and administrative support to healthcare providers.
Assist with patient intake, rooming, and vital signs.
Perform phlebotomy and collect/process specimens as needed.
Perform point-of-care testing (POCT) and other routine laboratory procedures.
Assist with front desk responsibilities, including scheduling appointments, answering phones, and patient check-in/check-out.
Prepare examination rooms and ensure supplies and equipment are properly maintained.
Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
Assist providers with clinical procedures and other patient care activities as needed.
Maintain a professional, patient-focused environment while supporting the clinic's daily operations.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
At least 2 years of recent CMA experience in primary care, urgent care, occupational health, or a similar setting is required.
Must be a nationally certified "Medical Assistant" or able provide a Medical Assistant diploma with transcripts.
Strong phlebotomy skills required.
Experience with point-of-care testing (POCT) required.
Epic EMR experience preferred.
Active Basic Life Support (BLS) or the ability to obtain it.
