The Essentials

• Schedule: Full-Time 36 hours per week | Monday-Friday | 7:30 AM-5:00 PM
• Location: Hudson, OH & Cuyahoga Falls, OH & Kent, OH
• Specialty: Orthopedics, Hand & Wrist

What You'll Do

• Provide clinical and administrative support to physicians and advanced practice providers in a busy orthopedic outpatient practice.
• Room patients, obtain and document medical histories, update medications and allergies, and maintain accurate patient records in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Prepare patient charts, process forms, review orders, initiate radiology orders for provider signature, and support accurate charge capture.
• Prepare injections and assist with orthopedic treatments, including suture and staple removal, dressing changes, wraps, cast and splint application/removal, and durable medical equipment (DME) fitting.
• Coordinate referrals, prior authorizations, prescription requests, and patient follow-up care.

What We're Looking For

• Education: Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program required.
• Experience: 1 to 2 years of Medical Assistant experience preferred. Orthopedic or specialty clinic experience preferred.
• License/Certifications: Current Medical Assistant certification required within 6 months of hire. Accepted certifications include Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA). BLS certification required within 3 months of hire.
• Skills: Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Experience with EMR systems preferred. Knowledge of orthopedic procedures, injections, casting, splinting, DME application, patient education, insurance authorizations, and clinical documentation preferred.
