Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) – Surgery – Full TimeGlendive Medical Center | Glendive, Montana Full-Time | Monday-Friday 8:00AM – 5:00PM | Starting Wage: $19.20+/hour (based on experience and internal equity) Support Patients Through Every Step of Their Care JourneyGlendive Medical Center is seeking a compassionate and organized Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our Surgery and Outpatient Infusion team. In this role, you'll provide both clinical and administrative support, helping ensure patients receive exceptional care before, during, and after their treatments and procedures.This is a unique opportunity to work closely with surgeons, providers, nurses, infusion staff, and patients in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment. What You'll DoPatient Care & Clinical SupportPrepare patients for surgical and infusion appointments by obtaining vital signs, height, weight, and other clinical informationEscort patients to treatment areas while providing excellent customer service and supportConduct post-procedure follow-up calls and document patient information in the electronic health recordAssist with scheduling and coordinating infusion treatments, chemotherapy services, and follow-up appointmentsVerify provider orders and ensure required documentation is complete prior to scheduled treatmentsMaintain patient care areas and ensure supplies are stocked and readily availableServe as a point of communication between patients, providers, and healthcare team membersAdministrative SupportRegister patients and maintain accurate demographic and insurance informationVerify insurance coverage and authorization requirementsSchedule appointments and coordinate referralsAnswer incoming calls and assist patients with questions or requestsSupport departmental workflows to promote a positive patient experienceDepartment OperationsClean and prepare patient treatment areas between visitsMaintain infection prevention and safety standardsOrganize supplies and treatment spacesAssist with regulatory and compliance requirementsSupport overall department efficiency and patient satisfaction QualificationsRequiredCMA Credential issued by the AAMACurrent BLS certificationPreferredExperience in a medical office, clinic, infusion center, or surgical settingFamiliarity with medical terminology and electronic health records (EHRs)What We're Looking ForStrong communication and customer service skillsExcellent organizational abilities and attention to detailAbility to manage multiple priorities in a busy healthcare settingCommitment to patient confidentiality and safetyCollaborative approach to working with providers and healthcare teamsPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand and walk for extended periodsFrequent bending, reaching, pushing, and pullingAbility to lift and carry up to 25 poundsAbility to perform essential job duties with or without reasonable accommodation BenefitsEligible after 59 days:Medical, Dental, VisionHealthcare Spending AccountsEmployer-paid Life & DisabilityEligible after 30 days:401(k) with employer matchPaid Time Off and Extended Illness LeavePaid float holidays Why Glendive Medical Center?At GMC, you'll be part of a healthcare organization dedicated to serving Eastern Montana and Western North Dakota with compassionate, high-quality care close to home.
