Position Summary
As our Ophthalmic Medical Assistant, you'll play a vital role in supporting our physicians by accurately documenting patient visits, assisting with administrative tasks, and ensuring the smooth operation of our electronic health records. Key Responsibilities
- Accurately document patient visits in real time during ophthalmology and optometry appointments
- Navigate and update our electronic health records (EHR) system efficiently
- Print lab reports, treatment summaries, and assist with chart management
- Communicate professionally with doctors, patients, and staff
- Coordinate with providers to complete and submit medical records
- Assist with additional administrative or clinical support tasks as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience as a medical assistant or ophthalmic scribe preferred
- Strong computer, typing, and transcription skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and note-taking accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy clinical setting
- A desire to learn and grow within the medical field
