Job Summary

We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to provide direct patient care under the supervision of a physician and licensed nurse. This role includes assisting with clinical procedures, medication administration, specimen collection, patient monitoring, documentation, and supporting daily healthcare operations in a secure clinical environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and nurses with patient care and clinical procedures.
• Perform venipuncture and prepare specimens for laboratory testing.
• Administer oral, subcutaneous, and intramuscular medications as directed.
• Obtain and document vital signs, patient observations, and medical records.
• Assist with EKGs, wound care, oxygen therapy, urinary catheterization, and other clinical procedures.
• Maintain medical supplies, equipment, and a clean clinical environment.
• Ensure accurate documentation while maintaining patient confidentiality.
• Respond effectively to emergency situations and communicate with the healthcare team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Current Medical Assistant certification (AAMA-CMA, NHA-CCMA, NCCT-NCMA, or state-approved equivalent).
• Valid driver's license required.
• Experience with venipuncture, medication administration, EKGs, and patient care preferred.
• Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
