Certified Medical Assistant - McLean, VA

Currently we are searching for a Certified Medical Assistant for a contract role with an exceptional occupational / primary care healthcare organization based out of McLean, VA.




·      Start date: ASAP

·      Schedule: Monday through Friday 8 am to 4:30 pm (40 hours with a 30 minute lunch break daily)

·      Pay rate range: $24 to $27 an hour

·      Benefits: Medical / Dental / Vision / Weekly Pay




JOB DETAILS:

·      Interviews patients, measures vital signs, such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height, and records information on patients' charts

·      Prepares treatment rooms and patients for examination

·      Cleans and sterilizes instruments

·      Inventories and orders medical supplies and materials

·      Operates electrocardiograph (EKG) and other equipment to administer routine diagnostic tests

·      Gives injections or treatments, performs phlebotomy and routine laboratory tests

·      Schedules appointments and makes follow up phone calls to patients

·      Performs administrative tasks, completes appropriate client company and OSHA regulated forms, and provides assistance at front desk

 

We are actively speaking with applicants that have a minimum of:

·      Must have at least 3 years of CMA experience in a primary care or clinic environment.

·      Seeking someone that has strong customer service, front and back office experience, and phlebotomy skills.

·      Must be proficient in using Epic.  

·      CMA Certification is required.

·      BLS required.
