Description
Position Summary: Under direct supervision, assist physicians and clinicians with patient care duties in our busy medical oncology/hematology department. This is a part-time role that requires working Mondays and Fridays from 12 PM to 8:30 PM. Bilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
Escort patients to and from exam rooms, physician offices, and treatment areas.
Record patient data, including vital signs, height, weight, allergies, and medication changes.
Prepare examination rooms, equipment, and clean instruments.
Assist physicians and nurse practitioners with exams and procedures.
Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection with high proficiency.
Handle blood specimens, ensuring proper labeling and adherence to safety standards.
Process laboratory specimens for collection or analysis.
Administer subcutaneous and intramuscular injections as delegated.
