Novant Health Langtree Medical Clinic is seeking a Full-Time Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our patient-centered team. In this role, you will coordinate and assist providers in delivering safe, high-quality, and cost-effective care to patients within our practice population.

What We're Looking For:

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

Experience

  • Previous experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred.

Certification/Licensure

  • Current certification or registration as a Medical Assistant is required through one of the following approved organizations:
    • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) – American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
    • Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) – National Healthcareer Association (NHA)
    • Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) – American Medical Technologists (AMT)
    • Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) – American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA)
    • National Health Career Association (NHCWA)
    • National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
    • National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP)
    • American Allied Health (AAH)

Candidates who are not currently certified at the time of hire must obtain certification or registration within six (6) months of employment and will be required to sign an education agreement.

  • Current State Driver’s License required for Palliative Care positions only.

Additional Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to successfully complete organizational, departmental, and role-specific competency assessments.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Assist with patient intake, vital signs, documentation, and clinical procedures.
  • Coordinate patient care activities to ensure a seamless patient experience.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Foster positive relationships with patients, families, providers, and team members.
  • Contribute to a culture of safety, service excellence, and continuous improvement.
