Title: Certified Medical Assistant
Active Medical Assistant Certification Required
Position Details:
- Full-time, temp-to-perm opportunity
- Schedule: 7:30/8:00 AM – 4:30/5:00 PM
- Pay range: $20-$22/hour depending on experience
- Must be able to rotate between Newnan and Peachtree City office locations
- Phlebotomy experience is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the delivery of patient care in a clinical setting
- Room patients and prepare them for examination
- Obtain and document vital signs, weight, BMI, and patient history
- Assist patients with specimen collection as needed
- Complete required forms, requisitions, and consent documentation
- Accurately document all patient information in the EMR system
- Elicit and record detailed medical information, including health history, medication changes, and chief complaints
- Ensure all health information is recorded accurately, timely, and consistently
- Prepare patient charts prior to appointments, including retrieving labs, imaging, test results, and hospital records
- Request medical records for new patients
- Perform phlebotomy procedures if experienced (preferred)
- Call in or electronically send prescriptions and refills per provider direction
- Maintain exam rooms by stocking supplies and equipment daily
- Identify and promptly notify providers of critical diagnostic data
- Respond to patient questions regarding procedures and medications within scope of practice
- Handle all phone communications accurately, professionally, and in a timely manner
- Maintain knowledge of patient programs and scheduling processes (e.g., chronic kidney disease education, nutrition programs, and other patient services)
- Communicate information clearly, concisely, and professionally with patients, providers, and team members
