    Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

     

    Join a busy, team-oriented primary care practice serving patients of all ages, with a strong pediatric population. Novant Health's Salisbury Medical Clinic is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support providers in delivering safe, high-quality, and compassionate patient care.

     

    This role is ideal for candidates with primary care experience, though motivated new graduates are encouraged to apply!

     

    Due to the broad scope of primary care, candidates from highly specialized clinical settings may require a longer onboarding and training period.

    What We're Looking For:
    • Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. Candidates will provide proof of current certification from one of the approved certifying registries including: • CMA with the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) • CCMA with the National Health Career Association (NHA) • RMA with the American Medical Technologists (AMT) • American Registry of Medical Assistants (NHCWA) • National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) • National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP) • American Allied Health (AAH) RMA with the American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA). If a candidate is not currently certified, they must obtain certification or registration by the end of the sixth month of their hire and sign an education agreement, required. 
    • Experience: Previous work in a medical office, preferred.
    • Licensure/Certification: Current certification, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire as CMA, RMA or CCMA, required.Current State Drivers License (Palliative Care Only), required. 
    • Additional Skills (required): Ability to successfully complete generic and department specific skills validation and competency testing.
    What You'll Do:
    • Coordinate and assist providers to ensure safe, quality, and cost-effective patient care.
    • Perform and document preliminary patient assessments, including height, weight, pulse, blood pressure, and temperature.
    • Review and prepare patient charts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
    • Interview patients to gather medical history and identify current healthcare needs.
    • Assist providers with examinations, treatments, procedures, and diagnostic testing within scope of practice.
    • Administer medications, immunizations, and injections as ordered by the provider.
    • Perform venipunctures and specimen collection.
    • Support a high-volume clinic environment with a significant pediatric patient population, including administering childhood vaccines and providing age-appropriate patient care
