What We're Looking For:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED, required.
- Candidates will provide proof of current certification from one of the approved certifying registries including: • CMA with the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) • CCMA with the National Health Career Association (NHA) • RMA with the American Medical Technologists (AMT) • American Registry of Medical Assistants (NHCWA) • National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) • National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP) • American Allied Health (AAH) RMA with the American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA). If a candidate is not currently certified, they must obtain certification or registration by the end of the sixth month of their hire and sign an education agreement.
- Experience: Previous work in a medical office, preferred.
- Licensure/Certification: Current certification, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire as CMA, RMA or CCMA, required. Current State Drivers License (Palliative Care Only), required.
- Additional skills required: Ability to successfully complete generic and department specific skills validation and competency testing.
What You'll Do:
As a key member of the care team, you’ll coordinate and assist providers to ensure safe, high‑quality, and cost‑effective care for our patient population, including:
- Perform and document preliminary patient assessments, including:
- Height, weight, pulse, blood pressure, and temperature
- Ensure patient charts are complete and accurate prior to provider evaluation
- Interview patients to identify current medical needs and relevant health history
- Assist providers during examinations, treatments, special tests, and procedures within scope of practice
- Administer medications as ordered by the clinician
- Support clinic flow in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Collaborate with the care team to provide an exceptional patient experience
