Certified Medical Assistant

Pride Health is hiring Certified Medical Assistant to support our client's healthcare facility in Somerset, NJ  08873. It’s a 4 months contract with a possible extension.

Duties:

• Assist physicians with patient examinations, treatments, and clinical procedures; record vital signs, height, weight, medical history, and allergies.
• Collect laboratory specimens, perform phlebotomy, point-of-care testing, and ECGs, and administer medications as directed.
• Maintain electronic and paper medical records, schedule appointments, coordinate laboratory services, and assist with registration and order entry.
• Prepare patients for diagnostic procedures, maintain quality control logs, and clean and sterilize medical instruments
• Follow infection control protocols, identify and report abnormal patient findings, reinforce patient education, and maintain patient safety standards.

 Required:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of one year of healthcare-related work experience. Pediatric experience required.
• BLS Certification is required
• One accepted certification: CMAC, CMA, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, or NRCMA.

Pay Range: $20-$25/hour
