Reporting to the Clinical Nurse Manager, the Certified Medical Assistant Trainee (CMA Trainee) will be responsible for providing the following to include, but not limited to: - Assist physicians/nurse practitioners with examinations and procedures as needed
- Assist patients in understanding provider orders
- Monitor and document vital signs including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respirations, as well as chief complaints, medical history and allergy history for patients
- Administer allowed injections/shots to patients
- Set up exam rooms with appropriate supplies and equipment
- Process patient referrals in a timely manner
- Adhere to Universal Precautions and OSHA Guidelines
