Certified Medical Assistant

Tulsa, OK | Monday–Friday | Starting at $19.00/hour DOE | Temp-to-Hire

Our client is seeking an experienced Certified Medical Assistant to join their growing clinical team. This position requires a compassionate, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to providing exceptional patient care. Candidates must be comfortable working closely with providers while maintaining efficient patient flow and ensuring compliance with all clinical protocols.

Schedule:

  • Monday–Friday
  • Must be available to participate in an on-call rotation one weekend per month

Essential Responsibilities

  • Room patients and escort them to and from examination rooms.
  • Obtain and accurately document vital signs, height, weight, allergies, medication updates, and other pertinent patient information in the electronic health record (EHR).
  • Assist physicians and providers during examinations and in-office procedures.
  • Prepare, clean, and stock examination and procedure rooms.
  • Administer injections and perform other clinical duties within the scope of certification.
  • Obtain prior authorizations and pre-certifications for surgeries, procedures, medications, and diagnostic testing.
  • Coordinate surgery scheduling, specialist referrals, and follow-up appointments.
  • Clean, disinfect, and sterilize instruments and equipment following OSHA and infection control guidelines.
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and all clinic policies and procedures.
  • Ensure efficient patient flow while providing outstanding customer service to patients and their families.
  • Assist with additional clinical and administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) credential required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent clinical Medical Assistant experience.
  • Experience assisting with examinations and clinical procedures.
  • Prior experience obtaining insurance authorizations and pre-certifications preferred.
  • Proficient with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a compassionate, patient-focused approach.
  • Reliable attendance and flexibility to participate in the on-call rotation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with surgical scheduling and referrals.
  • Injection administration experience.
  • Knowledge of OSHA, HIPAA, and infection prevention protocols.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume medical office.

Pay: Starting at $19.00/hour, depending on experience.
