Qualifications/Certification:
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
- Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of clinical experience in a private office setting, preferably in Family
- Medicine, Pediatrics, or Internal Medicine.
- Skills: Proficiency in EMR systems preferred Temperament.
- Patience and a passion for working with both children and adults is a must.
- Must be able to soothe frightened children and act as a professional liaison for families.
Responsibilities include:
- Clinical Care: Room patients, take comprehensive histories, and accurately record vitals (including blood pressure, growth measurements for pediatric patients, and BMI).
- Lab Procedures: Perform point-of-care testing including venipuncture (phlebotomy), strep tests, urinalysis, and finger-stick blood glucose.
- Procedures: Assist providers with minor surgical procedures, exams, and wound care.
- Administrative Tasks: Utilize Electronic Medical Records (EMR) to update patient charts, appropriately document patient concerns.
- Office Flow: Prepare, clean, and sanitize exam rooms, and manage inventory of medical supplies.
