This position offers hands-on exposure to complex medical cases, close collaboration with physicians and clinical teams, and the opportunity to strengthen your coding expertise within a mission-driven healthcare organization focused on advanced patient care.
What You’ll Be Doing
  • Review clinical documentation and assign accurate ICD-10 and CPT codes for diagnoses, procedures, labs, radiology, and treatments
  • Run daily reports for incomplete physician documentation and charges
  • Follow up with providers regarding missing or incomplete notes
  • Ensure timely and accurate charge capture within EMR and billing systems
  • Review medical records for coding accuracy, completeness, and compliance
  • Collaborate directly with physicians to clarify coding and documentation details
  • Monitor coding queues and worksheets to maintain productivity and accuracy
What We’re Looking For
  • CPC (Certified Professional Coder) certification required
  • Associate degree required
  • Experience within healthcare coding, medical billing, or revenue cycle operations
  • Strong knowledge of ICD-10, CPT coding, and medical terminology
  • Experience with EMR and practice management systems
Preferred Experience
  • Oncology or specialty practice experience is a plus
  • Experience working in compliance-driven healthcare environments
  • Comfortable following up with providers regarding documentation completion
