We are seeking an experienced Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to join the team. The CMA will provide safe and timely medication administration and support the daily care needs of residents in a long-term care (LTC) setting.
Job Responsibilities
Administer medications to residents safely and accurately according to physician orders and facility policies.
Verify medication orders, resident information, and appropriate dosages before administration.
Document medication administration and resident responses accurately in the medical record/MAR.
Monitor residents for medication effectiveness, adverse reactions, and changes in condition.
Report medication-related concerns and changes in residents' condition to the appropriate nursing staff.
Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) and provide basic resident care as needed.
Follow infection-control, medication-safety, and facility protocols.
Maintain confidentiality and protect residents' privacy in accordance with HIPAA and facility policies.
Communicate effectively with nurses, providers, residents, families, and other members of the care team.
Maintain accurate documentation and complete required medication-related records.
Help maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment for residents
