If you thrive in a fast-moving production environment and care deeply about quality, this Certified MIG/TIG Fabrication Specialist role could be your next step. You’ll fabricate parts, subassemblies, and completed products, performing a variety of welds in multiple positions while following rigorous safety and quality standards.

Is this you?

  • Comfortable reading blueprints and translating them into precise setups and welds?
  • Skilled with overhead cranes to position components safely?
  • Known for adjusting machines to achieve the right weld configuration?
  • Meticulous about finishing—grinding, wire wheeling, and using a needle gun for clean results?
  • Able to heat, form, and weld in flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions?
  • Detail-driven with measuring tools to verify specs?
  • Reliable, safety-minded, and comfortable working solo or as part of a team?

What you’ll handle

  • Pass and maintain certification through the Welder Qualification Test.
  • Operate overhead cranes to safely position parts for welding.
  • Adjust machine settings for proper weld configurations.
  • Clean finished welds using grinders, wire wheels, and needle guns.
  • Heat, form, and weld metal parts in flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead positions.
  • Use measuring tools accurately to ensure specification compliance.
  • Read and interpret blueprints; follow verbal and written work instructions.
  • Assemble, position, secure, and weld components with precision.
  • Cross-train and support other production areas as needed.
  • Uphold quality standards with strong attention to detail.
  • Follow safety, cleanliness, and 6S procedures at all times.
  • Work effectively independently and collaboratively.
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance.

Minimum qualifications

  • Ability to wear a standard welding helmet for extended periods.
  • Ability and willingness to work overtime as needed, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet business and production demands.
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance, in-person and on-site.

Standout qualifications

  • Welding certification from an accredited institution.
  • 1+ year of welding experience in a manufacturing environment.

Working conditions

The following represents general working conditions for this role. Specific conditions may vary depending on business needs and individual circumstances.

  • Manufacturing/production environment with exposure to loud noise, dust, moving machinery, and temperature fluctuations.
  • Standing for extended periods; repetitive motions; lifting/carrying up to 35 pounds; pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds and up to 30 pounds sustained; bending, kneeling, climbing; and using tools/equipment.
  • PPE must be worn when required.
  • Visual and auditory acuity needed for safe equipment operation and clear communication.
