    The VA Sierra Nevada Health Care System (VASNHCS) in Reno, Nevada is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our anesthesia care team. This is an outstanding opportunity to practice at the full scope of your education, training, and certification while serving our nation’s Veterans.

    About the Role

    CRNAs at VASNHCS provide independent, high-quality anesthesia care across a full range of clinical settings. You’ll collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, and other clinical professionals to ensure safe, effective, patient-centered care.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide anesthesia services including pre?anesthesia evaluation, induction, maintenance, emergence, and post?anesthesia care.
    • Develop and implement comprehensive anesthesia plans for patients requiring local, regional, general, or monitored anesthesia care—both inside and outside the OR suite.
    • Deliver peri?anesthetic clinical support, emergency response, and post?operative assessment.
    • Foster confidence and satisfaction among patients and staff while maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards.
    • Serve as a clinical resource, educator, preceptor, and potential adjunct faculty for health care trainees.
    • Implement evidence-based anesthesia practices to promote optimal outcomes.
    • Prescribe appropriate pre?operative, intra?operative, and post?operative orders.
