EDUCATION:
HS Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:
BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
CNA-Certified Nurse Assistant Highly Preferred
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
Proficiency in fundamental patient-care techniques, standard clinical procedures, and routine medical equipment use.
knowledge of appropriate emergency care for role (i.e. chest compressions, dialing 911)
Ability to follow instructions, furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Basic understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
Possess written and verbal communications skills to explain patient care information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences, including non-medical people.
Well-developed time management and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize assignments and work within standardized operating procedures and scientific methods to achieve objectives and meet deadline.
General knowledge of computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook).

Departments delivering hemodialysis: Demonstrated knowledge of dialysis water quality per AAMI (American Academy of Medical Instrumentation) Standards
Departments delivering hemodialysis: Capable of providing necessary immediate interventions managing dialysis complications, as allowed by scope of practice.

Pay Range is $32.31 to $36.20 / hour
The compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled. Total compensation considers multiple factors, including, but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, departmental equity, training, and organizational needs.
