At Valley Presbyterian Hospital, our CNAs are at the heart of patient care. We're looking for a compassionate and reliable Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to support our clinical team and provide high-quality, hands-on care to patients across all populations.
What You'll Do
Assist patients with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding
Support safe patient mobility, transfers, and transportation
Monitor and record vital signs, intake/output, and other delegated tasks
Report changes in patient condition to the Registered Nurse
Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly patient environment
Keep call lights within reach and pathways clear for patient safety
Follow infection control protocols and safety standards
Provide emotional support and culturally sensitive care
Assist with specimen transport as needed
Participate in quality initiatives such as hourly rounding and turning programs
What You Bring
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to remain calm in fast-paced or challenging situations
Strong attention to detail
Ability to follow instructions accurately
Physical stamina to perform required tasks, including lifting, standing, and walking
Team-focused, patient-first mindset
Computer skills preferred
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Current Certified Nursing Assistant certification
AHA BLS certification
LA City Fire Card certification within 30 days of employment
Management of Assaultive Behavior (MOAB) training within 30 days of employment
One year of acute patient care experience preferred
