Position SummaryThe Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) is part of a care team working to provide quality comprehensiveservices to Sea Mar patients. The CNM will provide appropriate hospital care as required. The CNM may refer patients to medical specialist or other sources of service when necessary. The CNM prescribes and/or dispenses required medication to patients according to the individualprescriptive authority granted by the Washington State Board. The CNM provides professional supervision to the assigned staff of nurses and otherparaprofessionals. The CNM participates in preventive health programs such as immunization, disease detection anddisease prevention activities. Including education programs for patients and community groups in theservice area. The CNM works closely with administrative personnel including the Clinical and Medical Director,preparing reports, grant proposals and other administrative activities when appropriate. High risk antepartum and intrapartum conditions would necessitate the CNM to initiate the processcurrently defined by the standards of the community.Qualifications Knowledge of and interest in the unique cultural aspects of the Hispanic people is needed. Bilingual ability in English and Spanish is preferred.Education, Certificates, Licenses, Registrations, and Medical Screening Graduation from an accredited training program or an acceptable equivalent. Board Certifiedwith appropriate Nursing Specialty Board. Washington State license to practice medicine. One year of experience in a family practice setting is preferred. This position must obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR within 90 days of hire date and isrequired to maintain current BLS CPR throughout employment.Additional Requirements Pre-hire and annual employee health screening required Annual influenza vaccine required. Only exception is for employees with a medical or religiousexemption approved by Administration. Employees with an approved medical or religiousexemption must wear a mask at all time during the flu season.SupervisionJOB RELATIONSHIP Supervised by: Medical Director and/or Chief Medical Officer and the Health CenterAdministrator as appropriate. Is evaluated on a yearly basis by the Medical Director and/or sponsoring physician and ChiefMedical Officer and the Health Center Administrator. Interrelationships: Works closely with Medical Director, Chief Medical Officer, Administratorsand Executive Director to realize the programmatic goals of the organization.

Hourly - Hourly Plan, 85.00 USD Hourly
