Job Title: Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM)
No. of Positions or Candidates Required: 5 Positions

Place of Work (City/State): Chinle Comprehensive Health Care Facility, Chinle, AZ 86503
Duration: 3-month base + 7 option periods of 3 months each (up to ~24 months total)
Start Date: Aug 2026

Shift Schedule:
Full-time clinical coverage
May include day, evening, weekend, and holiday coverage based on facility needs
How Many Shifts Needed per Month: Approx. 520 hours per 3-month period (~20 - 22 shifts/month equivalent)

License:
Active, valid, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN – CNM) license in any U.S. state
Certifications:
Board Certification from American College of Nurse Midwifery (ACNM)
BLS / CPR
ALSO (Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics)
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
DEA License (Schedules II–V)
Experience Needed: Minimum 6 months of experience in CNM specialty required

Special Skills Needed:
Labor & delivery management
Prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care
Newborn care and resuscitation
First assist surgical skills / OB procedures
EMR documentation
Ability to work in federal/tribal healthcare settings
Credentialing / Onboarding Time: 6–8 Weeks

Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive midwifery care including prenatal, labor, delivery, and postpartum services
Perform patient assessments, examinations, and clinical procedures
Assist in deliveries and surgical procedures as required
Provide newborn care and neonatal resuscitation
Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation
Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams
Ensure compliance with IHS, CMS, and federal healthcare standards
Participate in quality assurance and patient care improvement activities
