Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) – New Grads Welcome Bronx, New York Full-Time
Position Overview
A well-established, patient-focused healthcare group in the Bronx is seeking a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) to join its growing women’s health team. This role is ideal for both experienced midwives and new graduates who are passionate about delivering compassionate, evidence-based care across the full scope of midwifery services, including prenatal, labor & delivery, postpartum, and gynecologic care.
Key Responsibilities
Women’s Health & Midwifery Care
Provide comprehensive prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care
Manage low- to moderate-risk pregnancies and support labor and delivery
Conduct routine gynecological exams, screenings, and family planning services
Offer preconception counseling and reproductive health education
Patient Care & Clinical Management
Perform physical exams, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop care plans
Prescribe medications and manage patient treatments in accordance with scope of practice
Identify high-risk cases and collaborate with OB/GYN physicians when needed
Care Coordination & Collaboration
Work closely with OB/GYNs, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care
Coordinate referrals, follow-ups, and specialty consultations
Patient Education & Advocacy
Educate patients on pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and newborn care
Promote preventive health practices and empower patients in decision-making
Documentation & Compliance
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EMR/EHR systems
Ensure compliance with clinical protocols, regulatory standards, and quality initiatives
Qualifications
Master’s Degree from an accredited Nurse Midwifery program
Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) certification through AMCB
Active or eligible for New York State licensure
New graduates are strongly encouraged to apply
