Here at Optum, part of the largest network of medical groups in the nation, we are seeking a Certified Nurse Midwife to join our growing OB/GYN team in Poughkeepsie, New York. Position Highlights:

• Collegial multispecialty group practice with a large referral base
• Focus on team-based care
• Excellent support staff and dedicated practice management systems
• Full complement of clinical and administrative support teams to assist with patient care, including a dedicated Medical Assistant for each provider

Responsibilities:

• Participates in initial examination of obstetrical patient, and in collaboration with the MD, shares responsibility for care, treatment, and delivery of patient
• Examines patient during pregnancy, utilizing physical findings, laboratory test results and patient"s statements to evaluate condition and ensure that patient"s progress is normal
• Discusses case with Obstetrician to assure observation of specified practices
• Instructs patient in diet and prenatal health practices
• Stays with patient during labor to reassure patient and to administer medication
• Delivers infant and performs postpartum examinations and treatments to ensure that patient and infant are responding normally

Required Qualifications:

• Master"s degree and Midwifery certificate
• Completion of Midwifery, Completion of Midwifery Education Program
• Four years of clinical Midwifery experience, required with references
• Current NYS Midwife License and AMCB certification

The salary range for this role is $117,500 to $165,500 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
